Consulate Review: Laos
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : June 20, 2008
Embassy Review : On my fiancee's interview, the Consular Office was very nice and he interviewed me more. Simple question and very pleasant atmosphere at the US Embabssy.
Rating : Very Good

POE Review: Los Angeles
Event Description
Entry Date : 2008-03-14
Embassy Review : When we arrived at this POE, this officer took about 20 minutes or more to review my fiancee k1 visa yellow sealed envelop page by page, and my I-129f Package was 1 inch thick or more. He asked me where I'm from, why, and how long had I been in the United States? After I told him where I from, why, how and he finally said to my fiancee, you had 90 days to get marry. Was this appropriate or normal processing at POE? After all, k1 visa has been approved by USCIS and US Embassy abroad!!!
Harassment Level : Moderate

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
