Port of Entry : Chicago
POE Date : 2007-07-24
Got EAD Stamp : No
Biometrics Taken : No
Harassment Level : 0
Comments : The POE was a breeze. The man stamped what he needed to stamp, another man asked questions about how we had met, then joked about 'having' to get married.

All in all, VERY painless.

Consulate Review: London, United Kingdom
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : June 11, 2007
Embassy Review : My fiance got to the consulate 20 mins before his 9 am appointment, queued for security, then walked in the building at exactly 9 am.

Only questions asked at the interview were how we met (internet), when we first met in person, how many times each of us had visited the other, had I (petitioner) met his family, what line of work did he plan on doing when he got here, when was he planning to travel to the US. Took only his birth certificate, police certificate, copy of his previous divorce decree, I 134 and my employer letter.

Was there for an hour and a half total.
Rating : Very Good

POE Review: Chicago
Event Description
Entry Date : 2007-07-24
Embassy Review : My fiance got through both immigration and customs quickly. Wasn't asked any questions at immigration except how did we meet.

Painless, quick and he made it to the connecting gate with an hour and a half to spare.
Harassment Level : Low

Local US CIS Office Review: Memphis TN
Review Topic: cis_topic
Event Description
Review Date : November 18, 2010
Embassy Review : My husband's natz interview was scheduled for 9:50. We got there around 9:25, went right through security and into the interview waiting room. We put our interview letter into the slot by the door immediately (be SURE you do this or you won't get called). It was pretty packed in the waiting room but we found two seats on the end. Unfortunately, he did not get called back until 10:35 - nearly a full hour after his appointment time (hence my rating of 4 instead of 5). That was a LONG time to wait, esp. with a 4 month old baby in tow...!

Once he went back, he said the lady was very pleasant and asked for his driver's license and green card as forms of identification. She looked at our daughter's birth certificate and our previous divorce papers - she said everything else was in the packet we submitted which she commented was very organized (I RULE!!!). She asked him 6 civics questions which he aced (so no need for all 10), then he had to write and read a sentence - not difficult for him as he is from the UK. They chit chatted a bit about my immigration geekiness, which she apparently found endearing. She handed him form N 652 indicating he was being recommended for citizenship. She said they had not yet scheduled oath ceremonies for December in Nashville yet, so it may be after the first of the year before he takes the oath. The entire interview took about 20 minutes.
Harassment Level : Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
