Consulate Review: Caracas, Venezuela
Review Topic: K3 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : March 4, 2008
Embassy Review : We both attended interview. Very thorough. Interview lasted approx 2.5 hours. We did have a special situation as neither of us resided in Venezuela but had our interview there since we were married in Aruba. They were not interested in photos as they can be easily manipulated. We had 3 expandable folders with documentation. They checked all my entry stamps from current and expired passports. Requested all our phone logs (had all my expired bills for two years) copies of Internet chats (black out the intimate parts ... lol) apartment leases, utilities etc. Most questions were easily answered as they pertained to normal everyday life that one would know about a spouse (names of immediate family members, habits of each other, where did you meet, favorite foods etc) Have all your ducks in a row and will not have a problem.

They did go an extra step and expedited our visa which we were able to pick up the next day.
Rating : Good

POE Review: San Juan
Event Description
Entry Date : 2008-02-29
Embassy Review : Quick easy and painless. We went to the USC line and were escorted to the interview room where there were 3 others there. We waited about 15 minutes and were called up to the desk. The Officer was actuallty apologetic that it took so long becase the A# was not in the packet and he had to look it up. No photographs or fingerprints were taken.
Harassment Level : Low

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.

** Not all cases are transfered
