Did not wait to receive Packet 3-- downloaded it and sent it in advance after clearing with Consulate that they have our approved package!

Consulate Review: Mumbai, India
Review Topic: K3 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : August 22, 2007
Embassy Review : Easy and quick interview at the Mumbai Consulate for K-3 visa. We had submitted all paperwork to VFS. The only hitch was that the exchange rate had changed and we brought more money than required (Rs. 4400) for the interview fee. As it was a demand draft, we were told to go the nearest state bank and get a new draft (for Rs. 4200) and submit it to the VFS office.

We then picked up the passport with the visa a few days later from a local passport office as our residence was too remote for courier services.
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.

** Not all cases are transfered
