Embassy Review :

well... my trip to juarez was a little wierd and the good thing was i got approved and got my visa ready to come back, Dallas Tx, May 21, and being with my wife till she get deployed, June 25..

How this happen, how to i did the whole process, how i expedite the process due to deployment, what to expect on Cd Juarez, what happen in the clinic, what can you expect during the interview and what they do...

and here is my history...

I left from Dallas Tx, on May 12 at 9 pm on the bus greyhound 78dls ticket to Cd Juarez, you need to get another bus in el Paso to go to Cd Juarez. We stop in Odessa Tx and immigration ask for paperwork saying your legal in usa, I was the only person in the whole bus who was illegaly, when the officer ask me, i tell him i was on my way to get my residence he ask when i got the interview and a tell him and saying i got prof on my baggage was in the bottom of the bus i can show it to him, he says OK just keep going... THAT WAS BEATIFUL the first encounter with immigration and on my favor...

Odessa its like 3 hours away from el Paso, they was cheking buses going back to mexico... be careful people...

when i got to el Paso, like 8 am, i have to wait for like 1 hour or more for the other bus to cross to mexico, i got a taxi, 40 dlls to pass the bridge and take me to where i got to go...

the same day i went to get my passport, May 13, when i get to the passport office, they told me i need to do an appointment, i was like, i got 3 days to do everything and need the passport for everything, so i went to the place in front of the SRE to get the paperwork and make my appointment for tomorrow for my passport, the place its call FRANCIE, pictures, appt, photos, and bank pay stub for like 6 dlls, that was cheap, i went to the bank to pay for 3 years passport validation wich was like 80 dls and start looking for hotel, cheap, safe and close to the consulate.

HOTEL VILLA MAN PORT... its no far like 1 mille away from the consulate 38 dls night close to the taxi station, a lot of places for eat, it was the perfect one, and if you got guts you can take the bus to go to the consulate, i did like a lot of times each bus trip cost 35 cents and the same trip but in taxi was 5 dls... yall know which one was better...

I came back at 2 to FRANCIE place to get my paperwork about the appointment for the passport for the next day at 10:30 am, May 14, so... i went to the clinic and its says its open from 6 to 4pm i ask if i can be here like around 12 to do my exam they said no... 6 am to 11 am its the only hours they accept people for so i went back to the hotel... i take the bus...

May14, I went to the passport at 9 am because i dont have nothing to do... and wait there for like 2 hours because it was a lot of people, i was there for like 1 hour, i get out at 11:30 they told me to come back at 3 so i went back to the hotel, and coming back at that time, bam,... got my passport...

this is the bad and desesperate part... when they give me the passport i ask for the birth certificate to give me back, and they said they cant because needs to be on file, I JUST GOT WITH ME 1 ORIGINAL and the consulate needs one too... what the hell... what i going to do... i went straight to UPS it was in the same shopping center and call my mom asking her to send me another one and receivie thursday because friday got my interview, they told me its going to take 2 days to arrive and should have it by friday at noon, i supposed to be at the consulate at 7:30 am what to do.... my mom pay 18 dls, to send me the birth certificate from Aguascalientes, Mexico, and be in Cd Juarez the same day of my interview... what should i do....

I got frustrated, when i went to the hotel i dont know what to do... to have my birth certificate on time, i call my wife and i dont have another one in the house just that one, she fax it to me and i was thinking i can tell them i going to receive it the same day but dont know what else...

That day was awalful but it was already end it...

May 15, i went to the clinic around 5:30 am, the one next to the consulate because the other one the line was already big like 50 and the other one like 20, they open at 6 and we went fast, you wait till they call you and sit in the waiting room number 1 to have blood sample and x ray, they send you to waiting room 2... the doctor put you in a little room 4 x 4 and tell you to get on underwear and sit in the little bed, she... SHE get inside ask you questions... tattoo, piercings, law problems. and tell you stand up and pull your underwear down... look at you for like 2 seconds, turn around and she start telling you... you need to do a urine test and then go with the sicologyst... she neither tell me to put my underwear back on...and she leaves the room... she come back and tell me, you can dress now and go to the waiting room number 3 where they give you shots... i got 3, the prices goes form 12 dls, to 140 dls, the expensive one its for womans only... and went to the restroom with the ladie to do the urine sample, she was right there behind you waiting for you... when i was done they told me, you can pay now and go to the waiting room number 4 with the psycologist... 290 dls was my medical exam... and went to room 4 and guess what...

the only people who goes to the room 4, with the psycologist its the one who got tattoos and got problems with the law, being arrested for anything... the time in there was fast 2 minutes inside... she ask you if you do drugs, and why you was arrested... the part about drugs its only if you did like 3 years before because she warning you to tell the truth because in the blood sample appears everything... BIG LIE... any questions about this can email me...

from 5:30 am to 11:30 am was the test... they told me to come back TOMORROW, May 16, for the results, but i told them im going to be in the interview... they told me, if you missing something they going to give you a pass to go out for whatever you need more, so i was ok... thats good... they give little paper saying i need to be at 11:45 at the consulate for check the paper work i got for the interview... a lot of people there... NO CELL PHONES... if you go yourself to the clinic dont take the cell phone with you because they going to send you the same day to the consulate... in front of the consulate they rent lockers, 5 dls day so i left mines there and went inside wait for like 2 hours and call my name went to windows number 9 and he ask me for all the paper work i have...

i give him everything and told him i dont have the birth certificate with my but by tomorrow i should have it, he dont say anything.,.. EXPEDITE... when we call Mr B, he told us: " the first thing you need to do in your interview its say your wife its being deployed, because they dont look all your file"... thats what i did... and give him her deployment orders... i was there for like 3 minutes and he send me back to wait... and thats it... from 11:45 to 3:30 was the first interview but was almost for just check what you was missing... again back to the hotel on the bus...

May 16, INTERVIEW DAY

you cant even sleep right because thinking what to say, what its going to happen what do i say, what, what, what... geez..

wake up at 5 am and went at 5:30 a lot of people, no cell phones again, and they let us in around 6:15 and make us wait for like 40 minutes till they let us get inside the building and wait... its 20 windows there 15 to 35 the last 2 are cashiers, the have 2 tvs but the thing its if you sit in on side of the building you dont watch tv if you sit to close to the middle you going to be watching news all day if you sit close to the entrance you being watching cartoons all day...
at 8:30 they call me.... WHAT... WHO... window 20, she was nice try to speak spanish so i ask her how she was doing and we start the interview in english... when you wife gets deployed, whats her rank, you was in jail, they deport you, you got proof of you voluntary departure, you try to come back again to usa illegaly, where are your medic exam, i told her i need to go back for it, and she give me the pass to go and come back at 10, i was there for like 6 minutes or so and went to get the exams, i get something for eat and at 9:30 got my results and went to the same window and i give to her, and thats it... she told me " i cant give you the visa, but you can apply for the waiver" YES!!! thats what i want to hear.... she told me to wait till they call my name again to give me more instructions about the waiver and the expedite... 10:10 am my interview was over, they dont ask me nothing about our relation and what i was doing in mexico and where i was working in usa, nothing... almost everything was about her deployment and my voluntary departure...

they call me at 1:00 pm, it was like 20 people who needs the waiver and told us...

"you need to make an appointment for file the waiver and its going to take from 4 to 8 weeks to get one..." What ??? "whenever you have the appointment you can pay the waiver and file it... the cost of the waiver its 545 dls and you cant pay it before you need to have you appt first". when i hear my name i went and i told the guy, my wife its being deploy, he told wait till all the waiver people got the paper work and come back, when i went he told me, you got her orders, you got the letter, you got the affidavit, and the g 325 , that one i told him, no... but he give me one right there and i went right away to fill it, he told me to do it before 2:00 pm, because after that needs to be file until monday so i did it fast... and then went to pay $545 for the waiver. The lady send me to building B where i was like around 1:40 waiting in line...

That building its for Visa Laser... so i wait in line and give a number, and go to the end of the building, that day was cold... they make me wait like 1 hour and call my name... when i went to the window 21, i got my whole folder with a lot of things, and she told me to make a package for her, she cant accept it like that, so i was.. this, and this,,, and this... when i was waiting for my turn right there at the windows, they call some people... and this is what she told them: " We review you waiver but its no suficient information for us to approved right now, so we need you to come back in like 10 or 12 months to give you a decision"... what the hell!!!!!

I went again back to where i was waiting and was already like 4:00 pm, and nothing... when they call me... i was like, man... finally... guess what happen... they told me the same thing... to wait 10 months for a response, but i told her, my wife its being deploy, she say, oh yeah, you got her orders, i was, yeah, they are with the waiver... she told me to wait right there, and i wait like 10 minutes and they call more people and call me to... MY WAIVER GOT APPROVED....!!!!

Man... that was like... uuffff.... from wait 10 months till approved in 10 minutes.. all the paperwork was already finishing... she give us a piece of paper saying to come back monday at 6:30 to the building B for pick up the visa... and thats how start the trip...

From the 100 people was there waiting for the waiver, just like 20 got the waiver approved...

For saturday and sunday was the longest days i never being... i never see those days ending,.,,

But Monday.. you cant even sleep...by 5:30 i got there.. i was already a lot of people... but we get it before 7 am.. and wait... wait... 10 am... waiting... and wait... 2 pm... you start hearing the consular officers saying to come back tomorrow... what happen... they call some people to the visa windows.. and still waiting... 4:30 they call me... and told me.. COME BACK TOMORROW BECAUSE THE SYSTEM WAS DOWN THE WHOLE DAY... what the !@#$@#$%

why they dont tell us that.. the whole day waiting and nothing... man.. next day at 6:30 am again..

Tuesday... the same thing... wait and wait and wait and like around 4:00 pm the same thing happen... a lot of us was already frustrated... why they dont give us the visa.. they told us to come back tomorrow... another @#$@# day...

Wednesday, May 21... again the same trip.... wait and wait.. but.. gues.. like 10:30 they call my name to the window X ... I GOT MY VISA !!!!!

They tell you wich bridge to go Port of Entry, they send me to Faibens... its like 30 miles east of Cd juare, the taxi charge me 80 dlls that was cheap... because if you get taxi in front of the consulate they charge you like 200 dls... so... its like 1 hour driving and in the port of entry i was like 30 minutes and thats it... you sign something for the green card.. they put the information in the computer and they tell you... WELCOME TO AMERICA.. thats funny...

i wait for 1 guy wich name its Miguel Angel and her mom was having her paperwork done too... shes from the same state i am... Aguascalientes, Mexico, they give me ride to El Paso Airport and thake flight to Dallas, Tx... the first day im legally in US and the first time I fly on airplane... it feels so good being here...

I went to the Social Security office on May 30 to apply for the number and they told me the number its coming on the mail, so yesterday Jun 2, I receive it on the mail... that was soooo good... today i went to ask for the driver license but im going tomorrow in the morning...

Today its June 3, its my marriage aniversary, im 3 years married but my wife, because her army, shes in some classes in Colorado for armorer thing so i spend the day alone... and she wasnt here to see my ss card and shes not going to be here when i get my driver license.. the army help me a lot to get the paper work fix faster, but the army make us miss a lot of things...

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
