Consulate Review: Nigeria
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : May 5, 2020
Embassy Review : On Dec. 4, 2019. was my fiance interview. All we could think was that We had come a long hard road, along the way we had received the help of Senators and Congressmans. And we appreciated their help, one thing you have to remember that one form of government will not go against another form of government, especially if it is not in there interest. But at the end of the day it didn't help our situation. He was denied the visa by a screaming woman who called him everything except a child of God. As a matter of fact she denied everyone that walked through her door that day. He didnt know that he could have asked to speak to someone else. That was his right, but... He was so discouraged that he ran out of the door under so much embarrassment by the screams. And just as i was getting ready to go to Nigeria to get married there here comes the Nigerian banned for anyone all regardless if you are married. We had been speaking with a lawyer. We have been fighting this fight to be together since 2017.

I dont understand how one person who feels that they are better than you, could determined the way your life should go. I feel that they need more than one person to deny a visa. Before a visa can be denied it must be proven that the individual is not telling the truth, it must be validated.

hello I dont think the Nigerian ban applies to the K1 because its considered a non immigrant visa and the ban is for immigrant visas. so u could talk to ur lawyer n ask further details about it. hope it works out.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.

** Not all cases are transfered
