Comments : UPDATE VISA APPROVED AT SECOND INTERVIEW!
10/7/2019 They’ve asked us to come for a second interview. My US senator asked that they review our case thoroughly. Maybe getting the second interview is just a result of them doing their due diligence at the senators request. I sure hope it changes things. We also submitted his court files translated into English hoping they misunderstood things that were lost in their incorrect interpretation that he “could have been involved in drug trafficking.” He was asked by his boss to pay an employee who later bought cocaine and was caught. A corrupt district attorney arrested him and tried to extort money from him and his family. When they refused to pay he was jailed. and he was eventually exonerated and completely cleared. We’re trying to present that as much as we can since there’s of course no concrete proof of his innocence. He’s golden by the Mexican government but apparently that wasn’t enough for the US Consulate. I am praying that being in the right and being good people will conquer in the end.

Comments : Don’t forget to take care of your green card payment stuff before entry. You can pay it after of course, but for some reason they had my old address from more than two years before and had to send his green card there even though I had changed my address well before the interview on everything. I didn’t see the thing at the bottom of the page that they gave him, and was waiting to receive instructions. Have I gotten on the website when I should have I would’ve caught the address problem and not spent two days on the phone trying to get to someone just to change my address.

Embassy Review : Not much to do there. We had a Monday appointment so flew in on a Weds for Medical exam Thursday. Man, it was a long weekend. Thank God our hotel had a pool.

Still denied even after second interview?

Our interview will be November 26. Don’t know what good an interview will do because the details are all in the paperwork. He was proven innocent but their interpretation was wrong the first time. I’m hoping they aren’t making us spend all that money on flight, hotel, and medical just to deny us again. But I sure feel fortunate that we got a second chance. Send good vibes our way.

Got approved for the visa Tuesday. The Interview was short and uneventful. Wish it had been that way the first time, but obviously God had other plans. Thank you for the good wishes!
