Consulate Review: Amsterdam, Netherlands
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : September 18, 2018
Embassy Review : US citizen is writing this on behalf of the fiancé!
{Me, the US citizen's comments}

"I arrived at 12:28 for a 1:00 appointment and was able to get in right away. Outside they my checked passport and my name on the list. Next, I went through security (had to go twice because my metal in shoes was detected), then on to the waiting room. There were approximately 3 other people in front of me.

About 5 past 1:00, they called my name, and a Dutch-speaking man at the first window went through the checklist to make sure I had all the necessary documents.

About 15-20 minutes later, I was called to third window. My interviewer was a really nice lady with a Wonder Woman lanyard. I complimented it and she was was awesome and complimented my shirt. Looking at my passport photos she told me I was too photogenic." {Great, my fiancé is going to run off with his visa interviewer! LOL!}

Questions:
1. My date of birth
2. Fiancée's date of birth
3. You met on cruise ships? {He said yes, then immediately went into detail about the circumstances of our meeting.}
4. When do you plan to get married?
5. When did you last see her? {He told her I spent July in Amsterdam taking a Dutch course even though I've already forgotten everything I've learned because I refuse to practice. HA!!! Rude. And a little true. The interviewer laughed.}
6. Where does your fiancée live?

"That was all! She told me I was approved and would receive my visa in 7-10 days. I was able to take home all the photo evidence (which was never looked at.) I went on my merry way."

{Woooooooooooo!!!!!!!}
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.

** Not all cases are transfered
