Consulate Review: Montreal, Canada
Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : June 19, 2020
Embassy Review : Interview was easy and they just need to check all your papers. If you have everything then you are all set. The wait in the line and inside the Consulate was long. I was first in the line but their system was down. So I was at Consulate for around 2 hours. They just checked my papers and gave me visa.
Rating : Very Good

Hey, curious when did you get the letter? I'm trying to figure out the delay between the time I'll receive the letter and the interview - I'm still waiting on that letter. Thanks! And congrats on being approved and finally being able to make the move.

Hi, I am new visiting this website and I have a similar timeline, but still waiting for the interview letter. Wanted to ask if "case completed at the NVC" means the day NVC confirmed you are DOC qualified and approved. Thanks and congratulations.

Do they give you 6 months to leave the country after the visa is approved ?

You will get visa until your medical expires. So you have to move in before that.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
