Comments : At the interview: I was approved on the spot! (yay!) BUT the doctor with whom I had my visa medical did not check off my sex "Male or Female" (i'm a female). So they said that they (the consulate) would have to fax it back to their(the doctor's) offices so that the form could be completed properly. they assured me that it would add 1 more day of processing.
With regards to "post interview processing": Mine was approved just before Christmas and was "issued" on the 22nd of December, probably took a while longer because of the incomplete medical information. That was right before Christmas, which was on a monday, then they were off for boxing day, but it was put in the mail on the 27th of December. I just picked up my visa at the post office (Jan 2nd). I would've had it sooner were it not for the holidays.
So if you're doing interviews in December there may be a few day delay for it to go from "AP" to "issued" to "Issued + put in the mail".

Social Security Number Received: About a week after I arrived.
Green Card Received (in mail): Jan 25 - 3 weeks after I arrived.

General Note: My original consulate was Dublin, Ireland (I am a Canadian Citizen who was, at the time, finishing studies in Ireland) but was able to switch it to Montreal via the NVC no problem. However, the switch happened after we had submitted our NVC packet (due to the average 3 week period it takes for the NVC to check their email) so all of our paperwork was done via Mail and not online (since the Irish Embassy does things via mail). I feel like that slowed down our processing time at NVC (which was still only 7 weeks vs the 11 weeks as stipulated on their website). Thankfully we had no missing or troubling information with the NVC so my Case Complete to Interview was less than two months.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
