Comments : Received email to go to Embassy and submit new medical and passport. He did not have to interview a second time. When Fiancé went on December 12 to turn in his medical and passport, he was told by the officer that it would be that same week he would get his visa. The CEAC site showed “Issued“ that same day and on Dec. 16 he received email with tracking information for his passport and documents being shipped to Dubai.

Event Description

Embassy Review : My fiance had the interview on July 12, 2018 and his appointment time showed 8 am, he decided to show up at 7 am. He said he did not wait long because he was first in line, however, he decided to let an older man go before him. He went in about 8:20 and was out of there around 9:15 am.

There really is nothing much to say different than what others had reviewed on here, but he would say his interview went fairly well. He answered everything correctly even when the officer went back to an answer he provided in a previous question* (I starred the questions he asked from my fiance's answer). He said the officer was very nice and genuinely seemed to care about our petition. The officer told my fiance if it weren't for the current ban he would have given him the visa approval. Of course, we already were expecting that response. He did say he would consider the waiver for us (it would take about 5-6 months) and within an hour the embassy had sent an email to my fiance requesting the 5535 form to be sent via that exact email (no print, fill out and scan back).

Here are the questions that he was asked:
They asked about Our Relationship
When/How we met
Where we got engaged and how
What I did (uncertain if about my life or just my work. I'll have to ask him)
How we communicated with each other
*When he was talking about me and what I did he mentioned I had pets, so the officer circled around and asked him what kind of pets I had and their names.

He asked to see the log of our conversations (Facetime, Messages, DMs), but did not take them.
He also asked to see more pictures. ( I put the photos taped to a sheet of paper and next to it, they had a description of what we were doing and where.

The officer did not ask for the g325a, but my fiance had both of them filled out and signed (one by him and one by me) with him so he gave them to the officer. My fiance said he did take the Affidavit of support (wet ink), employment letter, bank statements and w-2.

Now the waiting game begins.
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
