Event Description

Embassy Review : Review for k1 visa in Juarez:

Day one: Medical at SMF
What you need to bring: Passport, embassy letter, vaccination records (if you have them) and medical appointment confirmation ( i did made an appointment online for the medical but a lot of people were walk ins)
Chest x rays, blood sample, urine sample and vaccines if you want them since for k1 visa is optional. I got there at 5:45 am and finished at 8:45am.

We were told results were going to be ready at 5pm later that day, but when we came back to pick them up they said they would only be giving out the results for people having the interview the next day and mine was in 2 days so i came back around 11 am next morning to pick them up. They only asked to see my passport. They give you a black envelope (this is what you need to take to the interview and don’t open it), a cd for you to keep and a paper with the vaccines you took for you to keep.

Day 2: CAS “Centro de Atención a solicitantes”
What you need to bring: Passport, Ds-160 and embassy letter.
This is pretty simple they take your pictures, your fingerprints and confirmed with you where you wanna to pick up your visa in case your are approved. It lasted about 10min. They stapled your embassy letter and your DS-160 together and they put a sticker on your passport. You need this fir your interview.

DAY 3: Interview
My appointment was at 8:45am but they let me in at 8:15am. I had to show my passport and the embassy letter stapled to the DS-160. Then you go through security like at an airport. You cannot bring cellphones to this. After that you go into a warehouse waiting room. I waited there for like 1 hour, while waiting there is a guy there that sells water and snack and you can consume them in the waiting room, bring money with you because its usually more than 3 hours waiting. I didn’t bring money with me 😔 because i didn’t know. Afterwards you go to another building to wait for a window to open up. In the first window they asked for birth certificate (original and copy), passport pictures, police certificate (original and copy) and affidavit of support.
After that you go wait in the green chairs, and the next step is the interview. After 1:30 hours of waiting i was finally had the interview (btw they are not private all the people waiting can hear what you are saying).

The consul asked me 4 questions:
How did you meet your fiance?
What does he do for living?
Do you have any tattos?
Do you have a tourist visa?

And then congratulations you are approved and you get a green paper, green means approved if you see people with a blue paper it means they are missing documentation or they were not approved. The whole interview lasted 10 minutes.
Hopes this help everyone having their interview in Juarez! 🇲🇽🇲🇽🇲🇽
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
