Comments : Interview was a pleasant experience. The officer mainly went over the Application security questions and asked for my parents names etc. He wanted to see my passport, drivers license, ead and birth and marriage certificate.

Then we explained how we met, when we got engaged and married. After that he wanted to see our lease. I am not on the lease so he looked a little concerned. But I showed him our health, life and car insurance, our phone contract, utility bills and our bank statement so he kept those and approved us right away. He then said if someone leaves germany to move to omaha its gotta be for love.

Event Description
Review Date : January 29, 2018
Embassy Review : At first the waiting outside made me more nervous and I thought I'd be in there forever because it seemed So busy.. I forgot to take out my headphones so I had to hand them in at security. People, no matter what you do don't forget to take the confirmation of Ds160 with you! One guy didn't and wasnt even allowed to enter the building.. like common dude, you had one job..
I brought a whole folder with all kinds of documents but all the asked for was ds160 confirmation paper and my passport.
The first two people I talked to were German. At window 22, where you're supposed to go first they take your passport and put it in a bag. At the second window they verify your information and take your fingerprints. My appointment was at 845 and around that time I was done with those 2 steps. I sat down and waited until 950 when the woman called my number to window 18. She was introducing herself and i had to take the oath. She asked:
- how we met
- when we started our relationship after the first meeting
- how many times we've seen each other since Adam left Germany
-how he proposed
- if we already had plans for our wedding

I offered to show her the wedding invitation but she laughed and said it was fine.

She was so nice and friendly and patient with me.
She then told me she has all documents needed and that our visa got approved.
I did a little happy dance and left the embassy by 1015
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
