Embassy Review : Had my interview today
And it was approved!

Got to the embassy 6am for my 6:45am appointment. At about 6:20am, an officer came to address the crowd and asked the immigrant visa applicants for 6:30, 6:45 and 7am to form a queue with our appointment letter, after that, he asked that our sealed medical reports be opened then we were asked to come in to be checked. Once cleared we moved toward the guy that assigns number, he confirms your name on the appointment list and then ask you to go towards the door to move to the next stage.

We had one more security check before getting into the embassy building.
I got in at about 7:10am and then joined another queue. Waited for about 10mins then it was my turn, so I went to the window.

The guy smiled and said good morning, and I responded with a smile also. Then he asked for my appointment letter , after handing that over to him, he asked me to bring out my original certificates ( birth, marriage and police ) and then left to fetch my file. Came back checked the originals, and then returned them back to me, but held on to the original police certificate. He then asked for my passport n two passport photograph. After handing that over, he returned the pictures my husband sent with the application and returned copies of the certificates also. He then asked me to go and that I'd be called soon...

Another waiting began.......
After waiting for about 20mins again. My name was called to come for finger prints. Did that and went back to my seat.

About 5mins later,
The CO called my number,
Walked up to her and she also greeted me with a smile.
And asked me to raise my right hand then she said "you swear that everything in the file is true and correct" and I responded yes. And she was like, then, let's begin but first, I'd need to confirm your prints again. We did that, then the interview started.

Who is calling you to the US?
How did you meet?
When?..... Month n year
Why did you marry in Dec.
What type of marriage did you have?
Do you have your wedding pictures here?
May I see them?
So what does your husband do?
Name of the company?
Where is it located?
How often do you speak?
What's the time difference ?
Either of you been married before?
Do you have kids?
Where do you live and have you lived any where else?

And then she smiled and said visa approved.
And gave me 3papers
1. Immigrant visa fee
2. Visa collection address
3.pamphlet that states my rights n all as a spouse of a US citizen.

And I was done!
In all it was a good experience...
And it seems the COs today were in a really good mood, everyone before me got approved! Except for an elderly woman and its because she didn't have her medical reports yet.

Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
