Comments : If your spouse received their divorce through the high court in Lagos email the embassy and ask them can you get the verification completed prior to the interview. Getting verification after the interview delays the time in getting your visa processed. We were approved on December 12th but due to the divorce verification procedures we have not been issued a visa yet. After contacting the Lagos consulate they informed us that they can not determine the time it will be completed at this point (12/20/2017) it is still under administrative processing. If it wasn't for the verification we would have received the visa on 12/15 and my husband would have been on his flight 12/23 and home for Christmas. Now everything is up in the air again.

Event Description
Review Date : December 12, 2017
Embassy Review : My husband got to the embassy around 5:30 got in line waited. The lady was calling numbers and some people were not understanding her so my husband took it upon himself to help others understand. She saw him doing this and gave him a thumbs up. He was praying that he get her as an interviewer. God is good. She ended up being the one to interview him. She asked the following questions:
1. How did you meet? FB
2.How you met on FB how you find her? She came up on my as someone I might know. (We had mutual friends
I gave the answer to the two questions above so you all will know they will ask this if you met on FB)
3. Are either of you been divorced?
4. Do you have any kids
5. Do you have pictures
6. Asked about the people in the pictures
7 asked to see witnesses to marriage
8. Which picture is his favorite
Then said you are approved!!!
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
