Event Description
Review Date : March 20, 2018
Embassy Review : My husband arrived for his interview about 20 minutes early, they said they could not let him in until closer to the appointment time. He stood outside talking to the security guard, who was apparently very chatty and friendly. He went in about 10 minutes later, was called up to turn in his paperwork about 5 minutes after that, then waited another 20 or so minutes while they reviewed it. Then he was called in to the interview room, where the man asked him the following questions:

1. Where we met
2. Where we got married, how big the wedding was
3. To see photos of our wedding
4. Who some people in the photos were
5. Who were my references that I used as bona fides for the I-130 paperwork all that time ago (as in what was their relation to me)
6. When I got divorced
7. How quickly after the divorce we started dating

The guy liked our wedding photos, especially our cake (we used a picture that we borrowed from the US embassy, an eagle and a puffin together) and my husband said he was very nice and considerate. At the end he said "I see no reason to deny your application, congratulations" and that was that!
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
