Consulate Review: Bulgaria
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : July 21, 2017
Embassy Review : I was able to schedule an interview within a week after the consulate received my petition from NVC. I didn't receive packet 4, I just looked on the website for the documents needed for the interview. My interview was at 1:30pm but I went in about 1:05pm, I gave my passport at check in, went through security and then was directed to go to a window to pay my visa fee. Second window I was asked a few questions from a Bulgarian, when did I meet my fiancé, when was the last time I saw her, where does she work and what does she do for work. After that I was directed to another window where the consulate was I was asked same questions by her and also when did we become romantic with my fiancé. She then said my visa was approved and I will receive it within 1-2 days. Overall it was 20 minutes and a really good experience. My interview was on a Tuesday and I got my visa Friday the same week. All the evidence for relationship was returned to me.

The medical i did at Greenberg, the wait time is 3 days since the urine test takes 3
3 days to process.
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
