Consulate Review: Bogota, Colombia
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : August 25, 2017
Embassy Review : My fiancé told me about his experience, so I'll summarize it for you!
1) They collected some of his documentation before his appointment.
3) he signed another letter stating his intent to marry me within 90 days of entering the USA.
2) He waited in line for over an hour as he watched other people (families) go in for their long interviews.
3) His actual interview was pretty fast. The woman was an American who spoke Spanish to my fiancé the entire time. She was very serious and asked him questions such as: "What is your fiancée's name?" "How did you meet?" "Does she speak Spanish? How do you communicate?" "How often do you communicate?" "How many times have you seen each other in person?" She also asked if he had any trouble with the law. And she asked for some documents including the affidavit of support which I had prepared and given to him. She flipped through them quickly and kept them. Then she told him we were approved and he could pick up his visa in two weeks (she gave him the location of where to obtain it). He had also given her his passport.

It was a pretty smooth process for us from start to finish, thank God! Good luck to everyone out there! You can do it!!!

Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
