Consulate Review: Ankara, Turkey
Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : April 24, 2017
Embassy Review : Visa approved. My husband waited approximately 2.5 hours. They first called him up and asked for supporting documents...passport, marriage certificate, police certificate, birth certificate, 2016 tax return and W-2, proof of relationship (life insurance, wedding invitation, engagement album, wedding album, Honeymoon plane ticket receipts, honeymoon photos, facebook relationship, many photos with our family and friends (initially asked for whatsapp chat logs, but since we live together in Turkey we didn't provide that. My husband told the consular officer we have a lot of other proof). A second consular officer called him later and asked the following questions:
1. How did you meet?
2. What is your job?
3. When did you get married? Who from your wife's family came to the wedding.
4. Where will you live in the United States

Like most of the other interviews it was about 5 mins and the consular officer was very friendly. They didn't ask for a lot of the other documents we sent to NVC. My husband said he could see the NVC file when he provided the supporting documents and maybe that is why they didn't ask for the other documents.
Rating : Very Good
