Comments : Valentine's Day 2017= Case Complete! Interview scheduled at New Delhi embassy on Feb 17, 2017 for the upcoming March 17, 2017 interview date.. happy, happy, joy, joy! All the best to all the rest!!!!!

Interview was a success! Hubby had to wait nearly 4 hours but the actual interview only took around 5 minutes. Simple questions regarding how we met and who attended the wedding in India from my side. Interviewer asked when he would like to see his wife, he replied "as soon as" and was granted his visa!! She said that it would take 2-3 days to process and he can pick up his passport with the visa printed inside of it sometime early next week. We will finally be together again at the end of this month! (March 2017) I am a US Citizen and it took just a little over one year since I petitioned my husband for him to get his visa approved. I wish you all a fast visa journey!!

Consulate Review: New Delhi, India
Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : March 17, 2017
Embassy Review : Husband arrived at the US Consulate in New Delhi thirty minutes prior to his interview appointment for 0830. He was allowed entry at 0815 and turned in his documents for checking. They said "please verify that your wedding date is December 22, 2015" and he said no it isn't it is actually December 25, 2015. They said very good and gave him a token and ushered him to the waiting area. He was waiting until about 1145, at which point they called him to a window for his official CR-1 visa interview. The women interviewing was American and asked questions only pertaining to how we met and about our mutual friend that introduced us. She asked detailed questions regarding my parents relationship with the said mutual friend and his relationship with the mutual friend and her affiliations with India. She inquired about who attended our wedding in India from my family. Overall the actual interview was only 5-10 minutes at which point the interviewer asked my husband when he would like to see his wife? He responded, "as soon as possible" and was granted his visa. He never had to turn in any supporting documents and she never asked to see any photos or anything. No political questions were asked regarding the Trump administration, and he never had to pay any direct fees at the Embassy because we already took care of everything properly. Just a heads up, if you are filing for an Indian spouse make sure that you follow all the directions exactly. We would have been case complete 5 months ago but due to a misunderstanding about our AOS and the fact that Delhi require two DIFFERENT Police Clearance Certificates gave us a big set back due to getting stuck in review. Best wishes to everyone and prayers/hopes that you will be with your loved ones as soon as possible!
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
