Comments : Interviewwent smoothly, the IO asked general questions like:
-when we first met
-when we got married
-is it our first marriage
-how many kids we have
Then questions answerable by yes or no from the form. I guess when you forwarded as much information/documentation/proofs they will just verify it in the interview and that’s it. He said I was approved and he gave me a hand delivered letter stating that my AOS was approved.

Consulate Review: Singapore
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : July 28, 2017
Embassy Review : July 11 08:45 - I had my interview in U.S. Embassy here in Singapore.

I arrived around 08:00 and since it was drizzling the guard directed me to the covered waiting area. There are quite a lot of people already waiting for their turn to be checked by one lady. She checks which kind of visa the applicant is applying and she will ask already what is needed to be handed over for screening.

When it's my turn, she asked which visa and when I told her it's K1 visa, she let me skip the queue and directed me to the entrance gate.

I went through baggage screening and they let me bring my bag, foldable umbrella and my big folder. The guard just asked me if I have any electronic device so I handed him over my cellphone together with my house keys. They gave me a number card for later collection. After that, i was told to proceed inside the embassy.

I'm quite familiar with the place already as I also had my B1/B2 visa approved on the same Embassy in 2015.

After entering, there will be another checkpoint where he checked all the items I'm bringing inside the interview area.

As I entered, a lady at the door asked again which visa type and she gave me a queue number and a paper with the list of all the documents that needed to be arranged to be given to the screening guy for faster transaction. I was asked to sit down on the chair with a label "Immigrant". I was number 2 in queue.

My Queue number was called and asked to proceed to window 8. The guy took the documents one by one as he tells me. He would also tell you if it requires a photocopy. As he take the documents, he casually ask you questions:

What is your Fiance' full name
When is his birthday
Where does he lives
What he do for a living
How many children he has
What are their age
How much does he earns
Is my son travelling with me (when I said yes, he asked for 2 photocopies of my son's BC. I only had the original and a photocopy. He said he can photocopy but it is chargeable. He gave me the tub and asked me to pay at the cashier just right beside his counter. It costs US$1.40.)
He gave me the yellow pamphlet and told me to read it, another paper which he said that I can use in sending through aramex if I will be asked to forward additional documents needed then he asked me if I registered my delivery address with aramex.

I returned back to him and gave him the receipt for the photocopy services and he said that all my documents were okay and completed "except" for my medical result (my heart started to run). I asked what was wrong and he said that their is nothing wrong with the medical result and my medical is fine is just that FULLERTON CLINIC FORGOT TO PUT A CHECK ON ONE AREA which is considered important and that I will be having a problem If that section was left blank once I'm in the US. The guy told me that they have to return it back to FULLERTON so they can complete it and it would prolong the issuance of my visa. The guy told me that it is not my fault and not theirs as well but it's the FAULT OF THE SUPER CARELESS AND NOT SO EFFICIENT FULLERTON CLINIC in NGEE ANN CITY. (I just don't know why they still missed out on something wherein they almost do it like more than 5x in a day for 6 days in a week approximately)

I tried to compose myself even though I wanted to burst into anger because of FULLERTON's carelessness.

I was asked to sit down and wait until the CONSUL calls my name.

We waited for a couple of hours for the Consul to arrive. The lady before me asked the attendant at the door why it takes sometime. She was told that the Consul will be a bit late because she attended another appointment outside the embassy.

I met another 2 ladies at the sitting area and finally we saw each other in person.

The first lady was called and it took her only maybe 15mins with the consul then she left.

The Consul called my name and I Proceeded to window 7.

With a big smile I greeted the lady Consul Good morning and she replied the same.

She verified my name and my date of birth then asked me to do the finger printing. After that, she asked me to raise my right hand for the OATH, I just said "YES". Then she started to ask me questions:

My fiance' full name
Fiance' date of birth
Fiance' address in the US
Where did we meet
How did we meet
When did we officially become a couple
Where did he propose
What does he do for a living
How much does he earns
If my son is travelling with me ( I said yes, but not with k2 visa as he has a prior petition by his biological father and he got an IV already)

She started typing and then tellls me that everything was ok, all the documents were completed and that I can expect my visa in 2 weeks time.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
