Comments : We left Monday to Santo Domingo and stayed with relatives to be at our interview on Tuesday @ 7am. We got there around 6:45. Stood in a very long line but it went rather quickly. They will ask for your passport and your approval letter for your interview then they send you to another line where you will go through security. Once you get through security they send you into another building where you will go and get a number and then we all had to go sit outside for about 15 minutes. Then they called everyone that had a ticket number from 1-185 to go inside. Here you will wait in another long and when your turn is up you will speak to someone who will ask you for your passport and medical exam and police certificate. They may ask a few questions. Asked if my fiancé has been married before or been to the states and then we were done with them. Went to go take another seat and waited for our number to be called. Once your number is called you go to the window and this is where the interview will take place. Had a very nice lady who spoke English and Spanish. The whole interview lasted about 5 minutes and then said congratulations your visa is approved. The only documents that she asked were for were some pictures of us together which were already in the paperwork that was originally sent out when we first started the process. She didn't even ask for the affidavit. Overall, went smooth and we were out of there by 10am.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
