2017-07-26: Case changed to "We are ready to schedule your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status, for an interview"

2018-01-31: app changed to “interview is scheduled” and received interview notice for 2018/03/07 a couple of days after by mail.

2018-03-06: interview rescheduled due to nor’easter Storm Quinn. Notice sent by email from the field office. Field office voicemail changed to reflect office closing but USCIS website didn’t.

2018-04-10: Interview at the Philadelphia Branch. The interview went so smoothly and we got approved at the interview. The app changed to "New Card is being Produced" at around 3:00 PM of the same aay. We had our interview at the Philadelphia office and the process was seamless! We came in at 10:00 AM and our interview was at 10:15. We went through security and literally after we both relaxed and went to the bathroom, a very nice young gentleman came out and called us. He swore us first then asked for our marriage certificate. He said our file was enormous and has a lot of paperwork! I am thinking that this is a great thing! He asked us regular questions about how we met and where and how long we have known each other and how. He asked us for photos and we had literally 300 photos so he just went through them and we showed him where we went. We noticed that he has some artifacts from Brazil and we talked him about it since we went to Brazil together. He turns out to be born in Brazil himself and we had a really good conversation. He said everything looks great and he approved our case. he said he will review the paperwork again and if he gets to do the review today, he would approve us on the same day which he did! Overall the Philadelphia experience was seamless and everyone seems to be friendly and positive. Thank goodness we are done with this phase and moving on! Woohoo!

2017-08-25: Applied for a Service Request since the normal processing period of 75 days from the Filed Date has passed. Was told that I would hear within 15-30 days.

2015-09-25: Applied for a second Service request since I never heard about the first one. I was told that the first one was processed as "approaching date request" but the second date is being processed as "date has passed" and it would process in 7-15 days.

2017-10-16: without any response to the SR, we got our approval letter.

2020-02-24: Received NOA in the mail with notice date 2020-02-21

2020-05-13: Received notification on App "Case Was Updated To Show Fingerprints Were Taken." Never really received a notice for biometrics or went to fingerprint. Because of the Corona Virus pandemic and all centers closed, customer service told me that they must have pulled that information from another application. They also said that this status changes as soon as they get the fingerprints on the same day which means that it is true they pulled it from another case since all centers are closed.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
