Comments : Filed first week of January, did not receive letter of extension. Received my biometrics letter April 22nd schedule for April 29th. No letter of extension at all.

I had to request for another copy of the extension letter since we did not receive it by mail.

I received a notification on April 2020 that my case is ready to be scheduled for an interview.

I had to request for a stamp on my passport since my letter already expired. Got a stamp on Dec 28, 2020 in Phoenix AZ.

January 27, 2021 my status changed to Interview Scheduled.

Now just waiting for the mail to see the details of the interview.

I was interviewed on March 4, 2021. She said she will review all the documents I submitted and she thinks she has everything she needed from us, and if she needs anything else she will let us know. She asked both of us in the same room... it was just like a normal conversation. She threw questions at both of us, about each other. Still waiting for update... writing this 8 days after the interview. No update

I had to call uscis 22 days after interview since no update was heard. The agent told me to make an e-request for document. I did an e-request for card. 10 days later my status updated to new card being produced

Consulate Review: Manila, Philippines
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : July 28, 2016
Embassy Review : The whole process was smooth. You just have to endure long lines. For the interview, which is the Step 4, it went so quick and smooth. Maybe because my fiancé and I were both single, no child and have never been married. There were other k1 applicants who were interviewed quite long, but they were approved anyway. You dont have to be nervous about the interview. There is really nothing to be nervous about, as long as your relationship is genuine.

I was only asked the follpwing questions:

Where did I meet my fiance?
Where is he from?
What's his work?
Does he have a child? Was he married before?
Am I single with no child?

After that, we just chitchat... About my fiancé arriving tonight. And he said congratulations!

Everybody was nice except for the ushers for the line and the process, they were nice but they have to be strict to organize the lines and the like.
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
