Consulate Review: Senegal
Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : June 7, 2017
Embassy Review : My husband went for his interview today, and I am not sure of his status. He didn't have his medical documents when he went to the interview so we knew he would need to return to give them this information. However, during the interview the lady told him she didn't believe the marriage was real. that it was not natural for a man to have children and not be married. She also told him that she would call me that day to verify this marriage because she thought he was lying.
To date I have not heard from them to ask me anything (and I will have some stern responses, at this point deny the dang thing, but no person will attack my intergrity i don't care) He also has not been called to return with the medical documents to provide this for the package.
I really like traveling to Africa and staying in our little bubble and being with out kids, but this ignorance doesn't surprise me. I really struggle with the people in Senegal and their complete lack of respect for anyone else. The disregard for the comments they make when peoples lives are being affected are the worst. This has been one of the worst experiences of my life. I don't wish the waiting with USCIC, NVC and this last phase of the ignorance of a consulate representative on anyone!!
Rating : Very Poor

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
