Event Description
Review Date : July 29, 2016
Embassy Review : After months of waiting for this day, I can finally relax. All in all my application went through quickly.
Today I was a nervous wreck, turned up at 11am and I was still 5th in the queue, Couldn't relax whilst waiting for my number to pop up on the screen, every time the beep went out I jumped out of my skin.
First had to hand in my documents, The guy was really nice and friendly, this took about ten minutes. After half and hour I was called again. Lovely American lady but very serious. I think she could tell I was very nervous.
She asked for bank statements to prove what money we had as my husband was the sole sponsor.
Questions she asked
Where did you meet you husband
When did you get married
Have I ever lived anywhere else
Where do you plan to live
Why are we emigrating now
Are the children US Citizens
Where is my husband now
Where are the children
When do I plan to leave

She walked away to talk to someone else then came back smiling and said she was pleased to tell me I was approved. I actually cried (because my family is split up at the moment) some in California and some here.

All in all I was there just under two hours xx
Cant wait to get the visa in the post and head out to California to start our new life xxx
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
