Comments : The interview only lasted 15 minutes, the Immigration Officer didn't have many questions for us. He asked how we met, how many times we visited each other, some proofs that we are living together like health insurance, phone bill, rent receipts. The officer was nice and we got approved.

Event Description

Embassy Review : 9AM k-1 VISA appointment. I attended the interview with my fiancé. Arrived early, large line for tourists VISA. Looked to be about 15 people for K-1. Paperwork was checked and re-ordered 3 times by different people before finally reaching the consulate interviewer at about 11AM. Actual interview lasted only 5 minutes. Did not even ask for further proof of ongoing relationship. Fiancé was asked what was our names, how did we meet and was asked about her 8 year old daughter. He then said your VISA is approved, gave her a sheet of paper containing information about domestic violence, etc. in the US, we said thank you and goodbye. I believe it went fast due to having all of the paperwork in order in the first i-129F application packet. Other people we saw interviewed were taking as long as 30 minutes.

Embassy was a nice environment, no complaints.
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
