Consulate Review: Morocco
Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa
Event Description

Embassy Review : I had my interview on September 15th. I arrived around 7:30 but this time instead of waiting in line across the street (Like they used to do before) they made us wait right next to the consulate. First they let in the B1/B2 applicants, then it was our turn (Immigrants Visas). After I walked in it was pretty much the same procedure, you hand over any cellphone or electronic device you have, (They somehow let women walk in with large handbags which was weird). Anyway, I waited almost 2 hours before a guy called my name (Window 5) I handed over all the required documents, he gave me back some of the ones NVC sent with the package then he asked me to go back to my seat and wait until they call my name, which happened about an hour later (Window 7) I entered and there she was, the black lady, I swore an oath and then she began the questioning:
-What's my name?
-What's my husband's name?
-Our date of birth
-When and how did we meet?
-Who contacted who the first time and why?
-When and where did we get married?
Then she asked for the wedding pictures, I gave them to her, she looked at them then she gave them back but kept one.
She asked me about my plans in America then she told me that my visa is approved and I can come back 10 days from now to pick it up at Aramex. I said thank you and walked out.
It was pretty straight forward, not even 5 minutes.
The very next day the visa was ISSUED and I picked it up a week after that.
