Comments : Was taken to separate room at POE. It took like 2 hours to wait for my turn. The officer was nice. Opened the packet, asked random questions like; where you're going, have you travelled to USA before ever etc

Didn't grill much. It was quite smooth.

Consulate Review: Islamabad, Pakistan
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : May 6, 2016
Embassy Review : Interview letter asked to reach embassy at 6:00. I reached at 5:45 am. The gate opened at 6:00 am sharp. They saw photo is identity (CNIC/passport) at the gate. Then at first counter they collected all the unnecessary bags ( I had none). Then had to stand in a HUGE line and wait for shuttle's ticket. From here ONLY the applicant can go. You'll be assigned a number, which you'll have to check on screens all the time. At first, bio metrics is done and 2 photographs are taken. Then you've to go and pay fee and then you're called for interview. I was asked very basic questions and the CO didn't grill me at all. The questions were like;
How did you guys meet?
Where does your fiancé work?
Where does he lives?
Is this arranged set up or what?
This tool hardly 1-2 mins and then he said that congratulations, you're approved and he further told me that I should be able to collect my passport within 10 days.
The CEAC status changed to issued the next day of my interview. And recieved passport after 8 days. So it was a nice smooth process. Alhamdulilah
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
