Comments : I attended my interview at the US Consulate in Montreal yesterday (August 31st). It was a fairly easy process. I arrived around 8:30am, my interview was scheduled for 9:30am. You go into the building, get your number, go through security screening and then go upstairs. Once upstairs, I was told to sit in the middle group and wait for my number to be called. It went by somewhat fast, I think I only waited about 30 minutes before I was called. Then you go to the booth and give them your paperwork and get fingerprints done. After that the officer will give you a paper with your number on it and ask you to sit down until it is called again. My number was called again about 30 minutes later and it was time for my interview. Once again, you walk to the booth in which they tell you to and you wait for instruction. The officer asked me some questions ( where my fiancé lived, how we met, etc.) and then was about to welcome me into the United States when he noticed something on the letter of intent to marry. The date was expired. It was 15 days past the 90 day rule therefore I have to get my fiancé to mail me a new one so I Can send it in. He explained that once I get that to them he can then go ahead and issue me my visa. I was only running on an hour sleep and was emotional but have come to realize that a few more weeks is worth a lifetime of love. It just sucks how one little thing such as a wrong date can set us back so much. I hope the process goes smoothly so I can finally be in the US with my fiancé.

*UPDATE*
9/21/2016
My visa was issued this morning! I Cannon wait for it to arrive!

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
