Consulate Review: Egypt
Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : February 24, 2017
Embassy Review : My interview was on JAN 31 at 7:30 A.M , my wife attended with me .
It was the easiest part in the whole process .
We arrived at the embassy at 6:40 , we were stopped in front of the embassy with all applicants (the immigrants and the non - immigrants) , then on 7.03 we were called to make 2 lines on the embassy's two sides, be attention to avoid any delays as happened with many people on this day ( THE FAR LINE ON YOUR LEFT HAND IS FOR IMMIGRANTS ) , try to be ready to be in the first three applicants , so you will be out of the embassy approximately at 9:30 .
As known all people were warned to leave any electronics , lighters , .... .
WE WENT WITH OUR MOBILES , MONEY , ONE BIG PACKAGE CONTAINED EVERY SINGLE PAPER .
We were n.2 in the line , we were told to prepare passports , appointment letter , aramex paper , and 2 passport style photos , then in kind words and smiles our documents were checked and finally we became in the embassy building .
TRY To IGNORE ANY HARASSMENTS WITH THE EGYPTIAN OFFICERS .
After we were checked we went down to the area which you can wait you number to be called , it was approximately 7.35 , there we were given n.601.
We sat down there with many others .
On 8:15 our number was called to window 13 with Egyptian officer .
In Arabic :
Me: alslamualekm
Co: no word and in a rude style she gave me every single paper we sent through the whole process ( EVERY ADDITIONAL PAPER )
Co:give me in the exact order your medical exam result ( no c.ds are required)
Co:birth certificate
Me:do you want any the translation and a photocopy?
Co:no , your criminal record , marriage certificate , military certificate , appointment letter , passport , aramex paper , 2 passport style photos
Co:when did you got married ?
Me:next February 4th we will complete one year
Co:took my fingerprints for both hands.
Co:ok, you can go to the waiting area and wait the interview with American CO , and please read this pamphlet
We waited , enjoying with prayers for ALLAH , kids voices and the X-large Nescafé.
Finally on 9:08 our number was called to window 15 for the actual interview which lasted 9:09
There were an American white hairless guy in the mid of 30 and behind him a white American lady in the same age.
It is the interview in the exact words .
Co:hi
Me:hi
Co:do you swear that all informations provided are correct?
Me:in a shock,why I don't know
Co:repeated he same words
Me:the same reaction
Co:looked to my wife and said do you swear?
My wife:I'm swear
Co:in Arabic how did you know your wife ?
Me:we met through my aunts , they liv
Co:ok ok ok
Co to my wife:where do you live in the u.s ?
M.w:709 Collin
Co:ok ok
Co:where do you work ?
M.w:la petite Academy as an early chhh
Co to me: in Arabic put you right fingers on the screen.
Co:okaaaaaaaay, your visa was APPROVED and you will receive your passport with the visa within two weeks through Aramex
Tears didn't stop.
Then he handed us the approval letter which contains how to pay for the green card receiving and handed me also all my civil documents .
All the time he was making circles in our I 130 as our answers no writing on computer.
We were out of the building 9:15
Tips:
1.Try to be caaaaaaaaaaaaaalm.
2.Arrive early.
3.Be well organized.
4.know every single word you sent in the whole process
5.Be well-groomed
6.well-preparation
7.Trust In ALLAH.
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
