Visa Received : 2016-03-17
US Entry : 2016-04-02
Comments : Landed at Boston Logan International. I was processed at Terminal E (international terminal). The process was very smooth, no issues. Not sure if this is common practice, but they even secured my luggage and placed it on luggage cart and informed me that my luggage would be at the door when I exit processing. I was also informed to apply for removal of condition when the time comes. Giving thanks to visa journey, I am honored to be a member of this wonderful community.

Embassy Review : Registering appointment

The interview was scheduled for 8AM; however, 9AM is the earliest option when registering the IV appointment at https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-jm/iv. Please don’t be alarmed if your appointment is before 9AM, just select 9AM.

Interview morning

I got there 6:40AM for my 8AM interview and I joined the appropriate line outside, per interview time.
I was told to take out passport and sign 2 passport pictures (2 of 4 were used (Embassy web site stated 4))
Entered the building and cleared security about 8:05AM

Document intake 8:15AM

Greeted and was asked who was filing for me?
Have I ever left the country and if so how long?
What is your mother (maiden) and father names?
Look at the original documents and took the photocopies
Fingerprinted
Instructed to return to waiting area

Interview 8:35AM

Greetings
Who is petitioning for you?
Have you been out the country and if so how long?
Sworn in and finger printed
How long have you been married?
Do you have kids?
Does your spouse have kids?
Were you married before?
What is you occupation?
How long was your spouse married for?
Do your spouse’s kids live with him?
Where did you get married?
Who are the people in the photo?
What is your telephone number?
How many times you and your spouse speak per day?
Did your husband told you he was going leave his ex-wife? (I guess this question is due to the circumstances of our case) (husband married 6 years ago and adjusted ex- wife’s status 4 years ago, then divorced her 2 years ago and remarry(me) same year. Please have strong convincing evidence if your case seems to have plausible suspicious circumstances.
You were also engaged did you get married (I was engaged before I reconnected with my husband, but broke it off because of the desire to be with my husband).
When the last time you saw your husband? Interviewer went away for a min
Why hasn’t he return since (he average 2 visits per year for 5 years and though a visit was due it was still less than a year, anyways the reason was: he was hoping I would have been processed months ago.
How did your spouse get to the USA?
Have your spouse filed for anyone else?
Have you ever been arrested? Interviewer went away for a min.
Have you have disagreement with your husband?
Example: if he is wearing a shirt you don’t like would he change it for you or it would cause an argument?
We laughed about some stuff
APPROVED, pick up visa in a week or so, also show and handed me the pamphlet about immigrant’s rights.

ADVICE: be strong in your conviction and provide solid and overwhelming evidence, especially if your situation is not so cut and dry, most of all be truthful. Life is not perfect and there are people who understand this.
Rating : Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
