Consulate Review: Egypt
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : April 27, 2016
Embassy Review : Me and my fiancee attended the interview. Our appointment was scheduled at 8 am. We arrived at the embassy at 7 am and waited til 7:30 when the doors are opened.
We quickly got through security and were assigned a number. Around 8 am they called us to check our paperwork and took my fingerprints. they told us to wait to be called again. At 8:40 we had the actual interview. The consular officer was a young blonde lady who was very friendly. She asked us How we met and when, how many times my fiancee visited me, how long were the visits and the type of accommodations(hotel, guest house, etc). She then asked if we had any wedding plans and she even suggested us some places lol, as she was familiar with the area my fiancee lives in. After she told us congratulations and handed us the approval letter.
My fiancee asked if there was any chance of our case to be under AP, the officer said no. So hopefully we will have an update soon :D
Rating : Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.

** Not all cases are transfered
