Comments : This was a very long process-however we did not experience any delays, RFE's etc. and I have to believe it is because we always provided MORE information than was required and we triple checked everything before we sent anything...plus, we relied on VISA Journey for information whenever we were unclear on anything. We never assumed that the information provided on the government website was correct and/or assumed we were correct if it was unclear-we always clarified by researching on VISA Journey. Thank you so much to everyone in the VISA Journey community! We couldn't have navigated this process successfully without each and every one of you! God Bless and Good Luck!

Consulate Review: Amman, Jordan
Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : May 22, 2016
Embassy Review : The Consulate Officer was very friendly and likable. He asked me how I met my wife, when and where we were married, where we went for our honeymoon and seemed genuinely interested. I had brought a small photo album my wife had sent me as a gift and he was very happy to look at all of the pictures-even laughing and asking questions. Overall it was a good experience, but the one thing I was uncomfortable with was the Arabic-English translator. She told me it was mandatory I speak Arabic and she translated to English, however she did not always provide completely accurate translations so I had to correct her several times. They were not serious mistakes but could have easily caused some confusion for the Consulate Officer that could have resulted in the need for a second interview.
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
