Event Description

Embassy Review : Scheduled Interview - November 12, 2015, 6:15 am

4:30 am: Arrived at the US Embassy in Manila

6:15 am: Entered the embassy with the following requirements:
-Copy of DS-260
-Copy of Appointment Letter from the Medical
-Original Passport

6:20 am: Given a number and lined up inside the embassy
-Step 1: Finger Scanning
-Step 2: Pre-screening
(Questions asked by a Filipino Interviewer)
1. Name
2. Birthday
3. How did you meet?
4. Who is *Mother-in-law's name*?
5. Do you have pictures together? (Asked me to show it to the American interviewer)
-Step 3: Oath-taking
-Step 4: Interview
(Questions asked to my husband, the petitioner)
1. Are you the petitioner?
2. When did you move to the US?
3. Who petitioned you?
(Questions asked to me, the beneficiary)
1. When did you first meet?

8:50 am: Releasing Area
-We received a 221(g) email for additional documents.

9:10 am: Back at Bayview Hotel

My husband was with me the whole time except during Step 2. All in all, it was a fast process. We could've been done an hour early tho if the Filipino guy interviewer wasn't playing around with his co-worker inside the window while asking me questions.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.

** Not all cases are transfered
