Event Description

Embassy Review : I had a very good experience at the US Consulate in Singapore. My appointment was at 10:15AM but I'm a little bit late due to having difficulty getting a cab but I'm glad I still able to make it on my interview . I got my lucky # which is 009 and feel very nervous inside as there plenty of people inside yet everybody inside the room can definitely hear what is the officer going to ask you even if your visa is being denies or approved which kind embarrassing ( if it's negative result).

My # is finally called after 45min and interview by asian lady.she asked first the following document which is required on the checklist like

1. Passport
2.Birth certificate ( both original and photocopy )
3. COC
4. NBI ( which I don't have yet and it's in the way as my sister post it to me from Phil)
5. For. I 134 and all supporting document from your fiancé
6. Proof of relationship

After presenting the documents, she start asking all this question.

How did you meet
What dating site you meet
When was the first meet up in person
How long I've been to Singapore
Where is he from
Is either one of you has been married before

All questions she asked, I answered it perfectly and she asked me to take a seat until my name has been called again for another interview .

Finally , after almost 1 and half hour waiting which only 3 of us left in the room , my name has finally called by an american consulate officer. He was very very nice compare to the asian lady ,he apologize to me for keeping me wait and thank me for my patience and I response to him hello and it's no problem .he start taking my finger print and asked to raise my right hand and oath that all info provided is truth and correct under US law. After doing all that, he start asking me all the question.

What is the name of my petitioner
How we met and which dating site
When we meet in person ..which I told her all the story and were we travel
What is my fiancé doing in the US
Do I have any relative in the US
How long I've been staying in Singapore and what is my current job
When did I planned to go to US..which I informed him frankly that me and fiancé planning to go to US together next month as he is coming here for holiday which is in MAY

And then he suddenly make a joke, he said " I don't want to be nosy but can I asked who propose to who" so we both laugh and I said of course his the own at Marina bay sands last Jan this year and he smiled.

After all the questioned, he informed me that since I still need to submit my NBI to them they will give my passport first and because I informed him that we will be traveling so he said I don't want to interfere with your holiday so once you have your NBI you just send it to us for us to process your visa .then he asked me if I have any question then I asked him frankly, I asked " if my application look good and approved as I need to give 1 month notice from my job"

He replied with a smile in his face, well I can't give you a fixed answer now because you still need to submit 1 document to us to complete the processing but your case and application looks good.

THANK GOD and VERY HAPPY😊😊😊😊😊😊

After reaching home, I checked on the CEAC website and the visa status changed straight away to "Administrative Processing" and hopefully after submitting the last document required via Aramex , I will be able to see " issued" so we can go holiday peacefully and fly together happily.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
