Embassy Review : This is a little late, but better late than never! So the biggest complaint was the wait and the procedure to get to the interview. I believe my wife and I were there for over 4 hours. First, they have you come in and sit on benches, and basically you rotate from bench to bench on one side, and then the same thing on the other. That took maybe 2.5 hours!! Kids were there and it was outside, so very hot! Then you moved into the waiting area. We waited there for another 2 hours at least. In fact, we were called up maybe like 3rd from the last people there!! We saw many people accepted, far more than were denied... It was crazy to see all of the different reactions. When we were called up, the agent asked to see pictures of our wedding. We had a wedding album ready. We also had all the paperwork in order, etc. The first thing we were given was a "domestic abuse policy" pamphlet. It was in Spanish and English, and then we got up to the agent, he wanted to make sure we both understood it, but mainly her. I thought this was way overplayed. Way too much attention was focused on that subject. It was like they were trying to telegraph that the spouse could still get citizenship if there was domestic abuse allegations. Of course, people should be made aware of this, but all of the attention was very inappropriate!! The interview was short and sweet. He just asked basic questions to us both, and because we were legit, the questions were very easy to answer. We were interviewed together. You couldn't have cell phones on in there. Small issue, but stupid if you ask me. What are you supposed to do for over 4 hours?? You could make a rule that you couldn't take or make calls, and have to have the phone on silent...but oh well... We were approved with no issues. It took about 4 days to get her visa.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
