Port of Entry : Chicago
POE Date : 2007-02-17 Submit Review
Got EAD Stamp : No
Biometrics Taken : No
Harassment Level : 10
Comments : These morons entered my husband's date of birth as 1928 instead of 1978. That little mistake has caused problems on an epic scale that we are still fixing over a year and a half later. They also failed to enter him under the NSEERS registration (which is their responsibility, not ours). Avoid Chicago.

Comments : Dont file DORA. They seriously screwed up our case and we're still waiting for approval over a year later. In fact, dont use the Dallas office at all, if you can avoid it. They attached someone else's RFE and co-sponsor to my husband's A#. Morons.

POE Review: Chicago
Event Description
Entry Date : 02/17/2007
Embassy Review : Chicago was a bad idea. They entered my husband's DOB wrong and it caused major problems for us trying to get his SSN and file AOS. The field office even refused to correct the mistake made at POE, even though its all the same system. POE also did not register my husband for NSEERS and that also caused problems at AOS. Avoid Chicago if at all possible.
Harassment Level : High

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
