Embassy Review : Hello,

Just wanted to share my experience at Islamabad embassy interview on 01/23. Reached at the shuttle area at 6:30 & reached embassy around 7, was scheduled for interview at 7:30 am. After going thru intense security checks and doing back and forth with the fingerprinting window, finally i was called for interview. I was greeted very pleasantly by a young American CO who asked me couple questions only. Who is calling you ? & What does your fiance do in US? Thats it! My interview lasted only 2 minutes, after asking these couple questions, she said, "My name" you're approved and AMEX will call you in couple weeks to pick up your passport. I couldn't believe it could be that easy as I was definitely expecting myself in that interview room after hearing so many horrible stories of this embassy. Anyway, I was out of the embassy at exactly 10:50 am.

I was expecting my passport to come in 7-10 business days as was advised, however, my status remained "Ready" for almost a week & then changed to "Administrative Processing" & the same day I received a call from embassy to submit original I-134 which i TCS'd the next day. Once they rec'd it, my status changed to "Ready" again & stayed for 2 weeks. On 17th Feb, it changed to "Administrative processing" for 1 day and on 18th "Issued". Now awaiting passport.

Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
