Embassy Review : |
I had all of my documents in hand, waited for about 45 minutes in line, I was the next person to be called and all of the computers went down! I thought to myself, 'it just never gets any easier!'. I had to wait about another 45 minutes before I was called, at which point to officer looked at my papers and took me to a back room where another officer was going to go through all of my documents. Everything was pretty smooth, they only asked me 1 or 2 basic questions. The only issue was when we were all finished they didn't give me anything back, especially my medical exam papers, which I thought they should have, because I needed these documents for AOS when I send in Form I-485. I politely asked the officer if he was supposed to give them back to me and he answered in a very arrogant way, 'listen sweetheart, you're not going to tell me what I need to do.' He obviously was at the end of his shift, so I went on my way.
I still don't know if they are supposed to give papers back to you, but we didn't have a copy of my medical certificate, so we had to call the doctor in Madrid and he was nice enough to email over the proof of my exam immediately, so we were all good. |

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
