Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : September 15, 2015
Embassy Review : Done with my interview today sept. 15, 2015 just want to share my experienced and some important events as far as i could remember only. I forgot some steps because there were like 2 to 3 windows i passed by before the interview that requires documents and questions but here is the highlights of my interview.
My appointment time is 7.30am and arrived there at @6.40am. There was a long line waiting outside but once i passed the lady in charged i was instructed to proceed to lane 5 since i am k1 visa and there were no falling in line on that lane and i walked straight to the USEM entrance door and had my security checked and only to find out i had my small USB inside my bag so i went outside again and leave my USB to Manang Claire a very nice woman,a vendor lady. After the security checking again i proceeded to a counter which they asked for my DS160 and my passport and gave it back to me with a priority number and instructed me to get inside of the other building and find the window ( i forgot what window is it ) where i dropped my DS160 and leave it there then i went outside the building and sit in the waiting area. After 20 mins of waiting my number was being called and instructed again to go back inside and fall in line for the window where a lady asked my name and the address of my fiance then proceeded to a window where my finger prints both left and right fingers were taken.
Then the woman told me to proceed to window 2. @WINDOW 2, The console asked me a few questions but before that i was asked to provide:
1 birth certificate
2 CNOMAR
3 passport
4 police clearance

After giving him all the documents he proceed to asked me questions

1 what is your complete name
2 did you travel/work outside the country ( yes )
3 what country ( saudi )
4 did you work in saudi
5 how many years did you stay in saudi
6 what is your job there
7when did you arrived here
8 where is your saudi police clearance ( so glad i made to get my saudi police
clearance despite of people saying it is a waiver country ) so i gave him the photocopy
of my saudi police clearance but he’s asking for the original copy so handed him
my original copy. He returned my original.
9 how did you meet your fiance
10 what dating site
12 where does your fiance work
13 what is your fiance’s work position
14 what state
15 when did your fiance met you
16 how many times your fiance visited you
17 when did he fly back to USA
18 do you have pictures together ( i handed him my photo album and when he opens it he was smiling and was saying like ohh i couldn’t ask you more questions
since you already wrote a dedication and the date when the picture was taken )

THEN HE SAID PROCEED WINDOW 3 please for ( OATH TAKING and finger prints ONLY )

WINDOW 4 ( I was expecting at this stage ill be ask to provide all documents from my fiance and to my surprise i was not being ask even one document!

The korean/chinese consule asked me

1 what is the most funny thing about your fiance
2 what do you like most about your fiance
3 where did you meet your fiance
4 what site did you find him?

Then she said congratulation your visa is approved and proceed to window 5.
But there were some hesitation on my part when she said proceed to window 5.
When i had my CFO SEMINAR, there were few people who finished their interview and 1 of them said when you reach the window 5 it means you have lacking documents. So while waiting to be called for window 5 i was like holding back my tears and started to asked myself if i heard the korean/chinese consular correctly that she congratulated me! or i was just too excited and make up those words on my mind only! Then i was called in the window 5 and the man told me your visa is approved and wait only for a few days to be mailed to you and asked him do i have some documents lacking that i need to submit sir ( making sure again, you know when paranoid attacks ) he said no and your visa will be deliver to you. I am very happy but i was paranoid again because prior to that while waiting for my oath the lady who is in charge for the lines announces that in window 4 once you will get a small paper an instructions how to receive your visa by 2go you are okie and please proceed to exit door and if you are instructed to proceed to window 5 it means that you have a lacking documents. I am so confused because i have provided all my documents they asked for and i was NOT given a form for 221g. What i did I talked to the woman who made that announcement and clarify to her why the console from window 4 said i was approved but i need to proceed to window 5 and the man from window 5 said the same thing. She then said and clarify well that those papers are for those who did not register online their delivery address and that my case is okie nothing to worry about. Then i asked another lady who worked from there too and i got the same answer. Praying hard i will have the passport and visa on hand in the coming days and by then ill be at peace!

GOD BLESS US ALL!

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
