Comments : We arrived half an hour before the interview but the office was very quiet and after being directed to the reception window we were asked to wait near door 1, a few minutes before the appointment time a man called my name and we followed him to his office, we swore the oath then sat down and he checked my ID's, copied some of them and then asked how we met, where Colleen worked and went though the yes / no questions from the AOS application, that was about all, he didn't ask for any proof of a relationship, however, we had spent a couple of days getting everything ready so I insisted he take the photo's and some of the paperwork, in between the 'official' parts we chatted about the weather and how I found the winter and a few other topics, 30 minutes later he said I should get the card within the next few weeks, he just had to look the file over to see everything was there. The next morning I received notification 'new card is being produced'. The officer was polite and professional and we felt relaxed throughout the interview, as we left I shook his hand and thanked him which seemed to surprise him.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
