Embassy Review : |
I had my interview on Aug 4 (Tuesday) at 2pm. I arrived 30 mins early, but the security already allowed me to enter the building at about 1:40pm. They greeted me with a smile and are very friendly. Inside the waiting room, there were already 3 others waiting including a family and a couple. I waited until my number was shown on the screen (you get the number upon entering the security, pick immigrant for K1 visas). After about 25 mins or so, my number was up and I had to go into one of those windows. The guy asks for all the required documents that you have to produce (passport, police certs., birth cert., I-134 etc.), after which he took my fingerprints (biometrics) and told me to wait again for the interview. After about another 20 mins, they called my number again and I went into a different window. I was greeted by a guy with a smile, he was very friendly. He asked me to raise my right hand, and took an oath. Afterwards, he asked about how me and my fiancé met, when do I intend to go to USA and if we already have wedding plans. I was eager to tell him every details, but after my initial answers he just immediately nods and says "ok". I think he already reviewed our file that he just needs a brief answer. He didn't even ask for any additional documents. After about only 5 mins, he already told me that I can pick up my passport with visa on the next following week. He handed me a piece of paper (claim stub) to claim my passport. I went out of the building and called my fiancé of the news.
all in all, it was a very friendly interview. |

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
