Event Description

Embassy Review : My fiance' went for his interview on 12-19-14. He arrived early and said it didn't take long at all. The appointment was T 9:30 and he was out by 11 or so. The interviewer only asked a few questions: Who was sponsoring him, What my kids names and ages where, asked him about some traveling he did, about his divorce, then told him to tell him alittle about me. He told him all looked good and gave him a sheet to mail in his police report which he didn't receive prior to his interview. He also gave him a sheet that discussed spousal abuse once in the U.S. javascript:emoticon(''). Thought all was going well. M fiancé mailed in his police report he following Monday and it was received at the Embassy on Tuesday. We knew there would be some delay because it was the week of Christmas and the next week was New Years. We figured he would have the Visa in hand by the 1st or 2nd week of January. Well we didn't hear anything for all most 6 weeks, then my fiancé got a call Jan. 29th asking about the police report, he explained he mailed it and it was delivered. He got another call from the Embassy on Jan 30th stating they couldn't locate it and he needed to send another one. Well we have done that and after almost 2 months his Visa is finally in Issued statusjavascript:emoticon('')

God is good!!! After all this hard work, frustration and waiting, we will finally be together in a matter of day. With the exception of the lost report his over all experience was pretty good.

Good luck to everyone

Hello and congratulations on successfully arriving to the end of this process. I am still waiting and would be grateful if you respond to a few questions. - Did they send your I751 file to NBC? - What questions were asked from you and your spouse during i-751 interview? Thanks and good luck

So sorry just seeing this. Have you had your interview? Yes it was sent to NBC. And the only reason we had to have an interview was due to the age difference and the fact we have had several address throughout the process so they wanted to clarify where we each lived. Basically she only asked how we met and then we just started having random conversations about my visits to JA. And done in like 30 mins. Hope that helps and if you've already been thru process and approved congratulations.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
