Consulate Review: Mumbai, India
Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : September 15, 2015
Embassy Review : Approved!!!

My CR1 visa got approved on August 31st.

It was very easy lasted for 5 minutes. VO was very cool and friendly. My sweet husband came from the US and was there with me during the interview that helped me a lot in being relaxed during the interview. questions asked during the main interview:

1. how did you guys meet?
2. where do my husband work?
3. where do we live after going to the US?
4. How the joint sponsor related to my husband?
5. what happened to my H1 ( I was in US for about 6 years, went on F1 then got H1 and later extension got denied)?
6. My husband was asked to submit his latest 1040 tax form

VO kept my passport and said your interview went well and we have all the docs except 1040. email it ASAP and your good to go.

My husband emailed it immediately after reaching the hotel. we got the approval on Sep 2nd. collected the passport and package on 8th and traveled to the US on 10th
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
