Consulate Review: Islamabad, Pakistan
Review Topic: F-2A Visa
Event Description
Review Date : May 12, 2015
Embassy Review : Zodiac below me gave a very nice and detailed description of everything. My wife's interview was also on the 12th.

After reaching the embassy, she had her fingerprint and asked for two passport size pictures.

After 15 mins was asked to give passport, medical and 2 phone numbers.

The interview was taken by an American Male who was friendly.

1. How did you and your husband meet?
2. was it love marriage or arrange?
3. What does he do in usa?
4. how long have you been married?
5. Did you ever apply for US visit visa? (Which my wife did apply just before filling for F2A) so my wife said yes i did apply and i was denied.
6. What was the purpose of applying? (I just wanted to visit USA)
7. Can you show me some pictures of evidence together. (We took a trip to australia and showed those pictures. He was joking about the pictures and kangaroos while looking at them)

Afterwards he said: congratulations your visa is approved and will be mailed to you in 10 business days. I checked the status today and it is changed to ISSUED ...

They did not see any single document. No tax returns, no police certificate. Also we made a mistake in our AOS , which they wanted us to correct and bring to the interview, but they did not ask for that as well.
Rating : Very Good

POE Review: Dallas
Event Description
Entry Date : 2015-05-30
Embassy Review : I was hoping that my wife will get out of the airport in half an hour or an hour .. Reading the previous comments, i thought the finger printing and signature only takes about 15 minutes.

My wife was taken to a separate room. They took her papers and passport.
She waited in the room for 2 and a half hours. The officials were not informing my wife about the progress. She was just sitting their not knowing anything which was happening inside.

They did not object on anything but it just took forever. So a little disappointed with the process at the DFW airport since there were not too many people in that office where my wife was waiting.
Harassment Level : Moderate

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
