Consulate Review: Bangkok, Thailand
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : September 9, 2014
Embassy Review : Arrived at embassy at 6:40AM, and started at the back of about a 50 person queue. (Only about 8 individuals for K1/K3-visa). Entered at 7am, spoke with female thai interviewer 2 hours later (interviews started at 9AM). Interview was about 5 minutes.

When did you see your fiancée for the first time?
How did you meet? (follow up questions to continue with more details of her story)
When was the last time your fiancée visited Thailand?
When did your fiancée asked you to get married?

After another 3 hour wait, documents were reviewed and 15 minutes later spoke with female American interviewer. Interview was about 5 minutes.
When did you see your fiancée for the first time?
When was the last time your fiancée visited Thailand?
Where and how did you meet?
Do you talk with your fiancée everyday?
How do you communicate?
When do you plan to go to the US if you get the visa?
When do you plan to get married?

Did something on the computer and said "we will send visa to your home in 7 days. Have a safe journey."
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
