Comments : We would like to thank everyone at this site. The information provided was invaluable to anyone going through this process. Please know that any information posted by us is as accurate as possible concerning the dates we received information. So far our experience, although long and sometimes painful to endure, was almost too good to be true. The most difficult part is the lack of available information from the USCIS.If the embassies and other government offices would provide the information needed in a timely manner during the VISA portion of the process it would have been painless for us. We were fortunate in that our interview for the adjustment of status was waived. It took 8 months to be approved and another 3 weeks to receive. We know it's not over until the removal of conditions has occurred and he has applied for Citizenship but at least we can relax a bit. Thanks again to everyone.

Comments : We sent the documents on May 4th certified return receipt. It was delivered May 8th according to the Post office. It is May 12th and they still have not cashed our check. I suspect no one has even opened our package yet.
Update:
USCIS finally cashed our check on 5/16/2017.
Update:
NOA 1 received in the mail on 5/18/1017. It was not the Biometrics appointment letter that allows you to track your case status but the first acknowledgement our case was received and grants a one year extension of the current green card for work and travel purposes. It was mailed on 5/15/2017 in case anyone wonders.
Update:
NOA 2 ASC appointment letter received on June 10, 2017. This letter provides the case number for future reference and to check case status online. Appointment date is June 22, 2017. Notice date was June 2, 2017. The mailing date on the envelope was June 7, 2017.
As soon as we have any accurate information it will be posted for the benefit of all looking at this site. I firmly believe that if the members post and provide accurate accounts it will help all new people looking for answers. I wish everyone well on this site and pray for a fast turn around for everyone.
Well for those out there waiting I understand your frustration. There is a bit of confusion as to which of the receipt numbers to use to find out how your case is advancing. The receipt number from the Vermont service center that was supposed to be so important never told us much. The first receipt number gave us all the information. It told us when the local office received our case and then gave us all the updates. We were approved without an interview. And the card was here in 6 days after the approval was posted. All I can say is once they start moving it goes very fast!!!!!!! I wish everyone the best of luck.

Embassy Review : Fiance arrived at the Embassy at 8:20 am interview at 8:45 am. After waiting in line for about 35 minutes one of the embassy staff asked to see his interview letter. He was sent to the head of another line. He entered shortly afterward, went through security. After arriving in the waiting area he was called to one of the windows the woman asked for his pictures, medical, affidavit of support. She was very friendly asked a few questions about how we met nothing very critical. She gave him a paper and told him to go to another window and pay the fee. Fiance waited in line (there was an old couple at the window asking a ton of questions). After several minutes the woman from the first window called him back. He smiled and told her he was still waiting to pay. She smiled and told him to return once he had paid. When the old couple had finally finished the man at the payment window apologized and my fiance smiled and said he understood. Paid his fee and went back to the first window. Woman told him that the CO would be with him soon and continued to chat with him about the relationship but very nicely and pleasant.
Once the CO was ready for him he was sworn in. CO asked basic questions family, friends, how we met, bla, bla, bla. Fiance asked the CO several times if they wanted the other evidence he had. The CO replied that they were 1,000 percent sure of our relationship and needed nothing more. Asked a few more questions and finally said that he was approving the Visa. He was friendly respectful and completely made my fiance at ease. I couldn't be happier as past experiences with the embassy were not so fun.
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
