Event Description
Review Date : July 10, 2014
Embassy Review : Our interview was scheduled for 1pm on July 8th, 2014.

I had done some research on what to expect, what to bring, etc. and it was pointless, in a good way! I have organized a exact copy of everything we sent in with the application, our joint accounts/assets, and a photo album of ourselves, friends and family. We arrived 30 minutes early but was sent away since they were on lunch until 1pm. We came back 5 minutes before our interview and only had to wait less than 10 minutes. Both my husband and I were brought into a room by a very curly, salt and pepper hair lady who was kind of intimidating at first. We were asked to take an oath to tell the truth, then I, as the immigrant, was sent out of the room while my husband was questioned. I don't know exactly how long it was but I would guess approx. 25 minutes. I hung out with the security guard, chatted some small talk and watched the news on the TV. When I was brought back in she questioned me about my personal information and then randomly chose parts of the form questions for me to answer. We could tell the interviewer was kind of just going through the motions of asking questions and wasn't actually interested in my answers other than making sure they matched the forms. She then continued to ask how we met, what we enjoy doing together, when I met his family, when he met mine, where we lived previously, when the last time was that I left the country, if my spouse went with me, etc. At this phase she was very intrigued with our story, (in a good way) and was actually smiling and showing emotion to how we met. As she got to the end of the interview she said she was going to approve us pending our security checks which she was doing immediately after the interview. As she was organizing I asked my husband if she even looked at the pictures and he said no, she then said "Ou I'll look at them now! I love pictures!" So she looked at them for her own pleasure... which was fine by me since I put forth the effort.

Extremely pleasant experience all around!! We had absolutely no complaints!
Harassment Level : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
