Event Description
Review Date : May 13, 2015
Embassy Review : Had our interview today to adjust our status from K1 visa. Everything went smoothly. Our officer was a pleasant young man who was very nice and put our minds at ease. He asked to see my wife's passport, birth certificate and translation of her birth certificate. He asked to see my birth certificate, passport, and marriage certificate. After that he asked my wife how we met and then he verified her information that was on the I485 form(name,address,etc..) He then asked her the same yes/no questions that are on the I485 form(I.E. have you ever been convicted of a crime, any gov't afilliation, are you a communist,etc...). I took out my evidence that our relationship is bona fide and he said he didn't need to look at it all. He took the bank statements, some pictures from our wedding, car insurance docs, a letter from our doctor stating my wife is pregnant, and our housing association I.D. badges. After that, he told us we were approved and we should receive her GC in 3-4 weeks. All in all everything went excellently.
Harassment Level : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.

** Not all cases are transfered
